"If you're going to New Orleans, try the St. James Hotel. I paid $68 a night, a special rate for booking 4 nights, and I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked it, even though it looked great on the web. But $68 a night? It sounded too good to be true. But it's true and truly a great hotel. Let me tell you, this is a world class boutique hotel. I can't say enough about it. The rooms were immaculate, good sized, and it was very quiet. The size and charm of the Hotel, in with the location, make it feel like home, something I miss most in impersonal corporate hotels. As important as those characteristics are, however, what made the stay so very exceptional were the people taking care of us every step of the way.

"Loved It", Mangham, La. I, my son and daughter and two of their friends stayed at the St. James and we loved it. The rooms were large, clean and had a wonderful atmosphere. We go to New Orleans several times a year and usually stay at another hotel, but this one is perfect and with in walking distance of all our favorite attractions. This is our new hotel of choice.

"Great stay during a crazy time", Charleston, SC My family and I go to New Orleans every year for Mardi Gras. This year we had to find a new hotel to stay at since we decided too late. The St. James was in the best location. It was just 2 blocks from the French Quarter and Harrah's. It was close to the parade route so we could walk back to the hotel for the bathroom and food. The staff was incredible. They bent over backwards for us. I have stayed at a 5 star hotel during Mardi Gras and they wouldn't have even accommodated us like the St. James. They were extremely polite and answered every question and problem promptly. The rooms were very clean and the price was far more reasonable than other hotels in that area. I have already booked my stay there for next Mardi Gras. I figure if a hotel can be this great during Mardi Gras, imagine when they're not as busy.
